SITUATION REPORT FROM KADAVU

Polling continues today in Kadavu at six districts.
At Naivakarauniniu, polling is held at the Naivakarauniniu community hall and likewise for Vunisei which is at the Vunisei community hall.
Naikorokoro - polling is being held at the Naikorokoro community hall and Soso also at its community hall.
At Drue, polling is taking place at the Drue District School and polling for Kadavu is being held at the Turaga ni Koro’s residence.
Nacomoto and Jioma are both holding polling at their respective community halls.
Voting has been ongoing without glitches and the two ships the MV Cagi mai Ba and the MV Bulou ni Ceva are currently servicing the coastal villages along the Eastern and Southern coasts of the islands.
The ship MV Cagi Mai Ba berthed today at the Vunisea jetty for refilling of water before continuing the journey down East.
At the end of polls on Monday, the number of votes cast in Kadavu was one thousand, two hundred and seven (1,207). The figure reflects only eight polling stations as the final report from the MV Bulou ni Ceva is yet to be received.
Polling continues today and postal ballots for the province are flowing steadily.
Polling in Kadavu is expected to be completed on Friday 12th with the two ships returning to Suva with the ballot boxe, scheduling to arrive in Suva on Saturday morning.
