BALLOT PAPERS PRINTED FOR THE FIJIAN COMMUNAL CONSTITUENCIES

There were no over printing of ballot papers as alleged by a political party during the course of this year’s general elections.
Supervisor of Elections Semesa Karavaki today provided the ordinary ballot paper statistics that will put to rest these allegations.
The total number of ballot papers ordered by the Office of the Supervisor of Elections, was one million, seven hundred and thirty thousand four hundred (1,790,400) and those that were printed because there was a shortage was 39,500.
The Total number of Ordinary Ballot papers issued for the Fijian Communal, Indian Communal, General Communal and the Open Constituencies was 1,790,400 and a total of 39500 were reordered.
The number of ordinary ballot papers printed for the Bua Fijian Provincial Communal constituency are as follows: ordinary ballot papers books of 10 was 329, books of 20 was 100 and books of 50 there were 70 ballot papers. Therefore, the grand total of ordinary ballot papers printed was 8790.
For the Kadavu Fijian Provisional Communal the total number was 7290. For books of 10 there was 729 ballot papers printed and this was the only set of ballot papers for this seat.
In addition, for the Lau Fijian communal seat the total was 9100. For books of 10 there were 520 ballot papers and for books of 20 were 195 and an additional 1000 was reordered.
In the Lomaiviti Fijian communal constituency, the total printed was 9980. There were 348 for books of 10, 200 for books of 20 and 50 for books of 50.
For the Macuata Fijian communal the grand total was 22610 and the break down was 234 for books of 10, 211 for books of 20, 115 for books of 50 and 103 for books of 100.
Further more, for the Nadroga/Navosa Fijian Provincial communal the total number of ordinary ballot papers was 31310 and the break down was 621 for books of 10, 280 for books of 20, 190 for books of 50 and 100 books of 100.
The total for the Naitasiri Fijian Provincial was 22860 and the break down was 471 for books of 10, 420 for books of 20, 115 for books of 50 and 40 for books of 100 and 1000 more was reordered.
The Namosi Fijian Communal the total was 4560. There was 40 for books of 10, 108 for books of 20 and 40 for books of 50.
Likewise, the total for the Ra Fijian Provincial Communal was 15500 and so there were 150 books of 10, 150 books of 20,100 books of 50 and 60 books of 100.
For the Rewa Fijian communal the total number printed was 14880. There were 327 books of 10, 323 books of 20, 55 books of 50 and 24 books of 100 and 200 more was reordered.
A total of 9200 was printed for the Serua Provincial communal seat and the break down was 130 books of 10, 120 books of 20 and 110 books of 50 and for the Ba East Fijian Provincial communal the total was 33320. There were 632 books of 10, 500 books of 20, 230 books of 50 and 55 books of 100.
In addition, the grand total for the Ba West Fijian Provincial communal was 31430. There were 729 books of 10, 270 books of 20, 175 books of 50 and 100 books of 100.
For the Tailevu North Fijian communal the total was 14100. There were 160 books of 10, 150 books of 20, 150 books of 50 and 20 books of 100 and a total of 4000 was reordered.
The total number for the Tailevu South Fijian communal was 16600. There were 410 books of 10, 350 books of 20, 100 books of 50 and 5 books of 100.
A total 14200 was printed for the Cakaudrove East Fijian communal. There were 430 books of 10, 220 books of 20 and110 books of 50 and for the Cakaudrove West Fijian communal the total was 16100. There were 891 books of 10, 217 books of 20 and 57 books of 50.
Furthermore, the total for the North East Fijian Provincial communal was 33150. There were 629 books of 10, 353 books of 20, 180 books of 50 and 108 books of 100.
For the North West Fijian Provincial communal the total 38500. There were 600 books of 10, 450 books of 20, 65 books of 50 and 100 books of 100.
Likewise for the total for the South West Fijian communal were 32180. There were 491 books of 10, 436 books of 20, 65 books of 50 and 153 books of 100.
The total for the Suva city Fijian Urban was 25000. There were 100 books of 50 and 200 books of 50 and for the Tamavua Laucala seat the total was 30000. There were 100 books of 50 and 250 books of 100.
Finally, the total for the Nasinu Fijian urban was 25150. There were 50 books of 10, 50 books of 20, 25 books of 50 and 224 books of 100.
