VIJAY CHAND WINS MACUATE EAST CAKAUDROVE INDIAN COMMUNAL SEAT

Vijay Chand was declared the winner for the Macuata East Cakaudrove Indian Communal constituency.

Chand was declared winner over three other candidates from the National Federation Party (NFP), National Alliance Party (NAPF) and the Soqosoqo Duavata ni Lewenivanua (SDL).

In addition, Chand managed to win 5298 votes followed by the NFP with 632 votes and the NAPF with 350 votes.

The total number of ballot papers counted was 7115 out of which, 6361 were valid votes against 754 invalid votes.

The number of votes needed for a majority was 3182 votes.
