TUISESE RETAINS NAITASIRI FIJIAN PROVINCIAL SEAT

Ilaitia Tuisese of the Soqosoqo Duavata ni Lewenivanu(SDL) party has retained the Naitasiri Fijian Provincial communal constituency seat as announced by the Returning Officer Central, Inoke Devo this morning.

At the first count, Mr Tuisese scored 8,455 votes against Maika Moroca of the Fiji Labour Party who had 424 votes, Jope Gonevulavula of the Nationalist Vanua Tako Lavo party 353, Kavekini Navuso of the National Alliance party 404 and Manoa Naitala an independent with 413 votes.

The number of ballot papers counted was 1,0874 with the total number of invalid papers 825, leaving the total number of valid papers at 10,049.
