KAMLESH REDDY WINS LABASA INDIAN COMMUNAL

The Labasa Indian Communal seat – constituency 43 has been won by Kamlesh Reddy of the Fiji Labour Party.

He won ahead of Subrail Goundar of the Soqosoqo Duavata ni Lewenivanua (SDL) party and Jaiwant Arulappan of the National Federation Party.

Mr Reddy’s votes was 6813, Goundar 147 votes and Arulappan with 1137 votes.

The total number of ballot papers counted was 8,986 less the total number of invalid ballot papers 889 leaving the total number of valid papers at 8097.

The majority number of voters required at the first count was 4050.
