PADARATH CLAIMS BA WEST INDIAN COMMUNAL

The Ba West Indian communal seat – constituency 30 has been won by Narendra Kumar Padarath of the Fiji Labour Party (FLP) with 7,299 votes at the first count.

National Federation Party’s Farouk Janeman came in second with 870 votes and Mandan Sen of the Soqosoqo Duavata ni Lewenivanua party had 180 votes.

The number of rejected or invalid votes was 876 and the total number of valid votes was 9,279.
