VAKALALABURE WINS CAKAUDROVE WEST OPEN

Yet another victory for the Soqosoqo Duavata ni Lewenivanua (SDL) party with the candidate in the Cakaudrove West Open seat constituency 70 – Ratu Osea Vakalalabure winning with 8,409 votes.

He won ahead of six candidates from the Fiji Labour Party, Party of National Unity and independents.

Independents Gilbert Vakalalabure had 511 votes, while Aporosa Tuikoroalau had 540 votes and Peni Naulu with 1,544 votes.

SDL’s Inia Tubui had 698 votes, FLP’s Saliceni Gonelevu with 2,359 votes and PANU’s Solomone Catarogo had 91 votes.

The total number of invalid votes was 1128 with the total number of ballot papers counted being 14,152.

This was the last constituency that was being counted in the Northern division.
