TUI CAKAU WINS CAKAUDROVE EAST FIJIAN FIJIAN COMMUNAL CONSTITUENCY

The Tui Cakau, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu was declared the winner for the Cakaudrove East Fijian Communal constituency.

Lalabalavu of the Soqosoqo Duavata ni Lewenivanua Party (SDL) was declared the winner over the candidate from the National Alliance Party (NAP) and another independent candidate.

In addition, Lalabalavu won this seat with a majority of 6120 votes over NAP who managed 480 votes and the independent who managed 287 votes.

The number of ballot papers counted was 7639 however the number of valid votes was 6887 against 752 invalid votes.

The number of votes required for a majority was 3445.
