NAWAIKULA SECURES CAKAUDROVE WEST FIJIAN COMMUNAL SEAT

Niko Nawaikula of the Soqosoqo Duavata ni Lewenivanua was declared the winner for the Cakaudrove West Fijian Communal constituency.

Nawaikula was declared winner over two other candidates from the National Federation Party (NFP) and an independent candidate.

In addition, Nawaikula gained a total of 7674 votes followed by Manasa Vaniqi an independent with 607 votes and Josua Vosawale with 236 votes.

The total number of ballot papers counted was 9622 out of which, 8515 were valid votes against 1103 invalid votes.

The number of votes needed for a majority was 4260 votes.
