TASERE WINS NADROGA/NAVOSA FIJIAN COMMUNAL SEAT

Isikeli Tasere of the Soqosoqo Duavata ni Lewenivanua (SDL) was declared the winner for the Nadroga/Navosa Fijian Communal seat.

Tasere was declared the winner by the Returning Officer Western Savenaca Kaunisela after gaining the majority vote for this constituency.

In addition, Tasere won a total of 10,624 votes over four other candidates from the National Federation Party (NFP), Nationalist Party (NVTLP), the Party of National Unity and an independent.

The number of votes counted was 16,704 out of which 14,847 was declared valid against 1857 invalid votes.

Furthermore, the number of votes needed to gain a majority was 7425.
