RATU MELI SAUKURU WINS BA WEST FIJIAN PROVINCIAL COMMUNAL CONSTITUENCY

Ratu Meli Saukuru of the Soqosoqo Duavata ni Lewenivanua was declared the winner for the Ba West Fijian Provincial Communal seat.

Ratu Meli was declared the winner after gaining the majority vote for this constituency.

In addition, he won a total of 9211 votes over three other candidates from the Fiji Labour Party (FLP) , the National Alliance Party (NAP) and the Party of National Unity (PANU).

The number of votes counted was 12,650 out of which 11,507 was declared valid against 1143 invalid votes.

Furthermore, the number of votes needed to gain a majority was 5755.
